Alden Mason y Linton Satterthwaite de University Museun en la Universidad de Pennsylvania, este proyecto duro de 1931 a 1939.
	Metzabok	Metzabok (dios hacedor de truenos) es la comunidad Lacandona más pequeña. El lago provee de buena pesca y es el recinto de cuevas sagradas y pinturas rupestres. El pueblo comienza a 4 km. del camino principal a El Tumbo, tiene una atmósfera remota y tranquila. Al mismo tiempo al estar tan remoto, limita el acceso a las oportunidades económicas.
